About the role:

We are looking for a dedicated engineer to focus on our infrastructure and uptime. You will collaborate closely with our existing platform engineer, front-end, back-end and operations team. Experience in scaling databases like clickhouse and performance engineering.

What you will do:

• Manage our cloud infrastructure, build and improve our data infrastructure globally, manage capacity and stay on top of performance.

• Have a special focus on ensuring our databases run smoothly and securely

• Build our infrastructure to be ultra reliable and failure resistant.

• Make sure our architecture meets and exceeds industry compliance standards.

• C/side is a kubernetes shop, you’ll be in charge of building out our clusters around the world.

• Writing Github actions for CI, ArgoCD for kubernetes, and Opentofu for cloud resources.

• Building and maintaining our observability solution, ensuring alerts are kept relevant and up to date.

• Manage AWS (and similar cloud provider) security.
  

About you:

• Have strong proficiency working with databases, optimising overall performance and queries.

• Have strong proficiency and deep understanding of secure implementations on cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP.

• You know how to configure Linux nodes for optimal performance at scale.

• Have used services like AWS CDK, EKS, ASG and more.

• You’re a lover of Kubernetes. You dig deep, get how to make things scale.

• You hate to make manual changes to systems, and you have experience in infrastructure as code (IaC), so you have experience writing code.

• Know how to pinch a penny when it comes to getting the most out of modern infrastructure. You sit at the cutting edge of new technologies such as ARM based machines, 

• You have over 4 years experience owning, managing and securing distributed systems on cloud providers.

• Have a lot of energy and are eager to work in a dynamic startup environment, working hard to build world changing technology, going from 0 to 1.

• Bonus: you like playing around with AI models.
