We’re looking for an EPOS & SCO Platform Engineer to build, configure, and support the in-store point of sale and self-checkout platforms across the estate. You’ll automate provisioning, configuration, updates, and monitoring so stores benefit from reliable transaction processing, seamless customer journeys, and minimal downtime. Success means stable retail operations, predictable performance, and confidence from store colleagues, product owners, and operations teams.
This is a hybrid role where 3 days per week are expected on site in Bracknell.

- Create and manage non-production environments to validate changes, patches, and new features before estate-wide rollout.
- Standardise and automate till provisioning, configuration management, and software deployments across the estate using VBS and PowerShell.
- Patch and maintain the OS and application layers, ensuring systems are hardened and aligned with security and architectural principles.
- Drive proactive monitoring and observability, using data to identify and fix issues before they impact the customer checkout experience.
- Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) validation, maintaining and periodically testing recovery procedures to ensure business continuity across all stores.
Skills Essentials
