WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Planning Manager who can turn strategy, demand, and operational data into clear, executable plans for Wolf Creek, a new large-scale omni-channel 3PL facility. This person is a builder and connector: comfortable establishing new processes where no complete blueprint exists, aligning internal and external partners, and making timely decisions that protect service and business continuity. The ideal candidate combines supply chain planning expertise, analytical judgment, change leadership, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without relying on direct authority.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Design and standardize the end-to-end planning processes, governance, ways of working, data requirements, and planning-tool expectations needed for facility launch and steady-state operations.
  • Develop capacity-management processes and operational-readiness criteria that translate demand, inventory, labor assumptions, and service expectations into executable plans.
  • Lead planning for inbound inventory ramp-up, outbound allocation controls, capacity readiness, service-level management, and transition activities through site stabilization
  • Serve as a primary source of operational planning intelligence, identifying risks, scenarios, tradeoffs, and recommended actions for site and network leaders.
  • Establish scalable planning standards and lessons learned that can inform future network growth and existing 3PL operating models.
  • Following go-live, you will own the facility planning function and ensure plans remain aligned with volume, capacity, service, cost, staffing, productivity, and customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own facility capacity planning and translate demand into practical operating plans for the 3PL partner.
  • Monitor actual performance against volume, capacity, productivity, and service-level commitments; lead corrective actions when results deviate from plan.
  • Build scenario plans and communicate the operational and financial implications of capacity, staffing, inventory-flow, and allocation decisions.
  • Define data quality, reporting, and analytical requirements that enable timely and reliable decision-making.
  • Identify launch and transition risks early, establish mitigation plans, and escalate decisions with clear recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning discipline, tools, governance, and partner accountability.
  • Support inventory migration, facility ramp-up, and legacy-facility transition activities while maintaining service continuity.
  • Provide concise, actionable insights to facility and network leadership.
  • Continually evaluate and refine the planning model as the organization learns from an omni-channel 3PL engagement of this scale.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will represent planning within the Wolf Creek launch program and partner closely with Network Operations, Transportation, Inventory Planning, Marketplace Supply Chain, Technology, site leadership, and external 3PL leaders. You will connect business requirements with operational execution, create shared visibility to constraints and decisions, and align stakeholders on actions that support a successful launch and stable long-term performance.

The role requires strong cross-functional influence, clear executive communication, and the confidence to make high-impact decisions in an environment with limited precedent.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business, engineering, analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in supply chain planning, distribution, logistics, inventory, operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build planning processes, governance, and decision frameworks in a complex environment.
  • Experience translating demand, capacity, inventory, and service data into executable operational plans.
  • Strong analytical, scenario-planning, problem-solving, and executive-communication skills.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, make independent decisions, and influence senior cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience managing complex change while protecting service and operational continuity.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience launching, ramping, or materially transforming a distribution or fulfillment operation.
  • Experience working with 3PL providers and establishing partner performance expectations.
  • Knowledge of omni-channel fulfillment, capacity planning, allocation controls, and inventory-flow management.
  • Experience defining planning-system, reporting, or data requirements with technology and analytics partners.
