Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join their team. This role involves developing a Master Schedule that integrates multiple project packages, taking into account their interdependencies. The goal is to identify and assess how changes in one schedule or project affect others, while effectively managing client expectations and ensuring timely delivery.
What You'll Be Doing:
Schedule Management: Develop and manage a Master Schedule integrating multiple packages, considering interdependencies to assess the impact of changes across projects.
Project Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems and tools, ensuring compliance and resolving planning issues as they arise.
Progress Monitoring: Evaluate and verify planning and scheduling information, identifying potential delays and suggesting mitigation measures.
Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular progress reports and presentations, addressing program issues to ensure timely project completion.
Claims and Dispute Resolution: Assess claims, including Extension of Time and Disruption, using leading delay analysis methodologies.
Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to planning engineers, ensuring effective project controls processes and compliance.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and conflicts, documenting them in the Project Risk Register, and conduct "what-if" analyses to assess time impacts of changes.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering or construction management from a recognized institution.
Minimum 16+ years of experience in planning and scheduling Infrastructure Projects
Successful applicants will have experience working on infrastructure and utilities projects coupled with an excellent overall understanding of the construction industry and interface and coordination requirements in the industry
Proficiency in scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6.
