Responsibilities- Partner closely with category buyers on current trade to drive achievement of company KPIs
- Compile and analyse reporting on product performance, including current trade updates, post-mortems, and strategy and review presentations
- Forecast and place stock orders to achieve future budgets and support successful marketing campaigns, optimising stock flow and inventory turn within your category
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, communicating effectively across the business
- Work closely with the Customer Service team to prioritise customer needs and champion a customer-centric approach across your category
- At least 5 years working in a Merchandise Planning role
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain, economics, management or accounting.
- A high degree of numeracy and an analytical, detailed and strategic approach to work
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience leading and upskilling junior team members to aid in their development and growth.
- Excellent spreadsheet skills and knowledge of the google suite
- Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial thinking
- Strong affiliation to systems and utilising them to increase productivity in line with the Company Strategy
- Good organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Enjoy working with people to resolve problems with a focus on finding workable solutions within often tight deadlines
- Driven by improving processes and finding new effective ways to do things
