Senior PHP Backend Developer (Symfony)

We are seeking to hire a Senior PHP Backend Developer with strong Symfony expertise to join a team that works directly on-site at our key customer's premises within the dynamic and critical energy sector. You'll be responsible for developing and delivering robust, high-quality backend services, coordinating with frontend and other technical teams to ensure our customer's core systems are performant and reliable.

•  Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs using Symfony.

•  Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.

•  Build and integrate asynchronous message handling and webhook-based workflows.

•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

•  Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle.

•  Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

•  Excellent knowledge of PHP 8.2+, with significant experience in Symfony (5.x / 6.x). Having implemented at least two production projects with Symfony.

•  Proven experience with Doctrine ORM 2 — entities, repositories, DQL, associations, and migrations.

•  Hands-on experience with Symfony Messenger for asynchronous message handling.

•  Experience designing and implementing webhook handling.

•  Proven experience with MySQL — schema design, migrations, indexing, and basic query optimization.

•  Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and common design patterns.

•  Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

•  Testing discipline with PHPUnit or Pest (Feature + Unit tests).

•  Proficiency with Git and conventional commits.

•  Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

•  Working knowledge of Docker.

•  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

•  A minimum of 4 years of experience developing and maintaining backend services with PHP.

•  Experience with cloud services (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure also welcome).

•  Static analysis tooling (PHPStan level 5+) and code style tooling (Pint, Rector).

•  Experience integrating with payment providers (e.g., Stripe).

•  Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA or Salesforce.

•  Familiarity with OAuth2 / SSO across multiple providers (Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook).

•  Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.

The offered salary package is competitive and will be based on the candidate's experience.
