The role requires close collaboration with portfolio management, client service, compliance, and operations teams, as well as coordination with the firm’s external GIPS verification provider.

  • Maintain and administer the firm’s performance systems, including FactSet and Indata (iPM), ensuring integrity of data feeds, portfolio structures, benchmarks, and classification hierarchies.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all GIPS-related matters, including composite construction, maintenance, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Manage the annual GIPS verification process, coordinating with the external verifier to provide required data, documentation, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and update annual GIPS compliant presentations and disclosures for all GIPS Reports.
  • Oversee the process for tracking GIPS Report distribution to prospects.
  • Maintain composite and pooled fund definitions.

  • Approve daily security valuations utilizing EDM tool.
  • Approve exception reports daily to ensure accurate accounting records.
  • Contribute to the firm’s Pricing Committee.

Attribution Analysis – 10%

  • Conduct multi-period performance attribution at the account and composite level to explain sources of return relative to benchmarks.
  • Competency with sector, security-level, and factor-based attribution analysis.
  • Develop and maintain attribution reporting frameworks within FactSet, ensuring consistency across strategies and client deliverables.
  • Partner with marketing to interpret attribution results and articulate performance drivers for client communications.

Client Reporting and Presentation Materials – 10%

What We Do

Our investment philosophy is simple: we seek to buy good businesses at low prices. We focus exclusively on companies that are underperforming their historically demonstrated earnings power, performing fundamental, bottom-up research on these companies in an effort to determine whether the problems that caused the earnings shortfall are temporary or permanent. We typically consider companies for inclusion in the portfolio when the following criteria are met: (1) the current valuation is low compared to the company’s normalized earnings power; (2) the current earnings are below historic norms; (3) problems are viewed as temporary; (4) management has a viable strategy to generate earnings recovery; and (5) there is meaningful downside protection in case the earnings recovery does not materialize. We believe a concentrated portfolio exclusively focused on companies with these characteristics should generate meaningful excess returns for long-term investors
