OSAM is hiring a Senior Performance Analyst to join the team. The position location will ideally be Stamford, CT, or New York City with a hybrid work schedule available.
What are the responsibilities of the Performance Team?The Performance team at OSAM is responsible for GIPS compliance as well as timely and accurate performance reporting and related analytics for all accounts and strategies. The team also works to provide valuable insights to clients to explain account performance and demonstrate the firm’s value-add. This position entails creating new composites, ensuring GIPS compliance, and assisting with the annual GIPS verification. The ideal candidate is highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in SQL. A background of 5+ years in investment performance analysis, including GIPS standards and various investment products, is required.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Performance Analyst:Ensuring firmwide GIPS compliance and annual GIPS Verification
Creating composites for new products (including leverage, derivatives, alternatives, etc.)
Enhancing capabilities to scale a business with a rapidly growing account and asset base. Potential to add upwards of 100 composites in the next year.
Performance reporting across all accounts and strategies on a monthly and quarterly basis
Facilitating documentation of policies and procedures
Liaising with marketing to create relevant marketing materials for strategies in a timely manner and develop new materials for new products
Developing and maintaining new and existing metrics and tools to support marketing, sales, and client service teams
Ensuring integrity of data on Client Performance Portal
Supporting standard industry and proprietary attribution analysis and reporting
Handling ad hoc requests for performance related information
Support development and execution of team roadmap to ensure initiatives and activities are aligned with broader organization and driven to successful completion
5+ years in an investment performance analyst/management role, ideally working with an array of investment products (equity, fixed income, multi-disciplinary accounts, options overlays, long/short, alternatives, etc.)
Expertise in GIPS and experience developing processes to ensure GIPS compliance as well as increase operational efficiencies
The ideal candidate is highly analytical and process-oriented with knowledge of GIPS and a strong understanding of investment performance analytics. Adept at problem solving and delivering in a timely manner.
History in direct indexing and tax managed performance calculations preferred
Understanding of investment performance calculations for a variety of products
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
Client service focused
High level of attention to detail
Programming capabilities in SQL. Other programming knowledge, such as C#, and Python a bonus. Understanding of or familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming concepts a bonus
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, math, or related analytical discipline or equivalent experience
CFA or CIPM designations a plus
Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results.
