Our technology improves performance while reducing energy use and environmental impact, supporting the rapid growth of AI and cloud services. At Ranovus, you’ll join a collaborative, inclusive team that values learning, flexibility, and meaningful work with global impact.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior PCB Layout Designer to join our engineering team.

The PCB Layout Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing printed circuit board (PCB) and substrate layouts to meet electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements. This role involves close collaboration with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, packaging engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure that designs meet performance, quality, and compliance standards.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Create and develop PCB and substrate layouts based on schematic diagrams and design specifications.
  • Collaborate with hardware, mechanical and signal integrity engineers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with requirements.
  • Optimize layouts for signal integrity, power distribution, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
  • Generate Gerber files, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation for manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IPC, UL, RoHS, etc.) and internal design guidelines.
  • Perform design rule checks (DRC) and electrical rule checks (ERC) to validate design integrity.
  • Work with vendors and fabrication houses to resolve manufacturing issues and ensure high-yield production.
  • Maintain version control and design documentation for all layouts.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve PCB design processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in PCB layout design for analog, digital, RF, or mixed-signal circuits.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Mentor Graphics PADS, KiCad, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of PCB and substrate manufacturing processes, materials, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) practices.
  • Understanding of high-speed signal design, EMI/EMC considerations, and thermal management.
  • Ability to interpret and apply IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-6012, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
