Job Summary
Supports attorneys with banking related litigation, as well as commercial debt restructuring and workouts and related banking and finance matters. Seeking self-actualized candidates. Litigation experience required; some corporate/transactional experience preferred but not required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides paralegal support for litigation matters, including but not limited to drafting demand letters and other correspondence, preparing and coordinating discovery responses and pleadings.
- Maintains and updates case files and assist with internal reporting obligations.
- Monitors case schedules and filing deadlines; ensures the assigned attorneys are aware of his/her schedule and any changes made; monitors case developments.
- Assists in the management of outside counsel; serves as a general liaison with client organizations.
- Resolves routine legal issues.
- Assists in maintaining and preserving documents and other evidentiary materials.
- Provides paralegal support for commercial loan workout matters, including drafting contracts relevant to same with attorney oversight, analyzing, managing and organizing loan files, coordinating closings, assisting in coordination and management of outside counsel, and drafting and managing correspondence.
- May provide general administrative support (i.e., make copies, draft letters/memos, and order supplies); process outside attorney fee invoices; monitor attorney and litigation expense data; maintain and update the forms library.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

Minimum Education:
- Minimum of Associate's Degree Required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- Five (5) or more years of paralegal work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills; and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Organizational skills and the ability to collect and arrange data in a logical and useful manner.
- Strong competency using the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Analytical skills and the ability to be detail oriented.
- Ability to easily adapt to changing situations/environments.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to resolve minor issues or problems
Skills Required
- Five or more years of paralegal work experience
- Paralegal Certification recognized by American Bar Association
- Minimum of Associate's Degree
