This is an insurance regulatory reporting role, not a software engineering, data engineering, business intelligence or general analytics position. Experience in Property and Casualty insurance reporting is required. Candidates should have experience with P&C insurance regulatory reporting environments such as statistical plans and reporting of regulatory and state insurance filings. The ideal candidate is well-versed in client solution implementation and regulatory reporting environments. This individual will be responsible for analyzing insurance data, supporting data management activities, interpreting regulatory reporting requirements, and performing business analysis to support client reporting implementations. This role contributes to our ability to support and assist with our external partner's reporting responsibilities and prepare data reviews, regulatory filings and compilations in a timely and accurate manner for submission to state insurance departments and ISO affiliates.
You will have the opportunity to learn and apply insurance business knowledge and your skills in order to research and implement data capture mechanisms and strategies that will maximize usability of reported data for our products and services.
As a member of the Data Management Solutions team, you will be involved with regulatory reporting implementation and onboarding of new clients. You will have close interactions with stakeholders (internal and external) on regulatory data reporting requirements, and other data management activities. You will be involved in creating, building and improving processes and procedures to support different strategic plans.
Responsibilities- Create and modify instructions which will enable us to extract, transform and summarize insurance regulatory data, as input to derive desired results.
- Contribute to our business processes and recommend improvements in data management, error identification, quality control and process automation.
- Provide input and suggestions for our data reporting implementations, while working closely with our development team.
- Provide high quality support to client needs including reporting requirement interpretation, regulatory reporting implementation, statistical plan mapping, data reconciliation, regulatory validation and bureau submission preparation.
- Collaborate with other divisions, integrating information from multiple sources along with independent analysis and research.
- Ability to prioritize business needs and make decisions while handling multiple projects.
- Use appropriate business language to develop clear and concise data reporting standards and instructions.
The ideal candidate has worked directly for a P&C insurance carrier, statistical reporting organization, bureau, regulatory reporting vendor, or insurance services company. Candidates with experience supporting ISO/Verisk, TICO, CAR, residual market reporting, statistical plans, regulatory data submissions, policy administration systems, claims systems, insurance reporting implementations, requirements gathering, data mapping, reporting specification validation, and client onboarding initiatives will be particularly successful in this role.
This position is intended for experienced insurance professionals and is not an entry-level opportunity.

- Ability to understand and analyze transactional insurance data is required. The successful candidate must be able to analyze insurance policy, premium, exposure and claims data and translate business reporting requirements into actionable reporting specifications.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
- Continued desire and ability to learn.
- Understanding of and experience with data manipulation, transactional-level data generation and data validation procedures including small to mid-size data transformations, cleansing and validation scripts is a plus.
- Experience conducting client meetings, gathering business requirements, presenting reporting solutions, and supporting implementation activities with insurance carriers is strongly preferred.
- Experience using SQL or other data interrogation tools to analyze and validate insurance data is helpful.
- Professional insurance designations such as CPCU, AINS, IDMA, or similar industry credentials are a plus.
