The Opportunity

As the Senior Manager of Operations & Administration within the Chief Marketing Office (CMO), you will play a pivotal, high-impact role elevating strategic planning and driving operational excellence across the entire Marketing organization. Serving as a trusted strategic partner, you will bridge overarching strategy and flawless execution, leading internal engagement, streamlining processes, and integrating modern technologies to empower high-performing teams.

  • Drive Internal Engagement & Communication Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication plans that align stakeholders, clarify organizational priorities, and ensure clear, consistent messaging across diverse channels and internal portals.

  • Lead Executive Forums & Large-Scale Events: Design, structure, and facilitate high-visibility forums—including All-Hands/Town Halls, offsites, and incentive events—translating complex strategies into inspiring, actionable direction.

  • Eliminate Systemic Friction & Optimize Operations: Proactively diagnose operational bottlenecks and establish scalable, efficient workflows that simplify complex cross-functional processes across Marketing and CMG.

  • Design & Manage Organizational Incentives: Build and execute a scalable incentives framework to reinforce organizational accountability, celebrate high performance, and accelerate positive behavioral adoption.

  • Champion Technology & AI Integration: Pioneer the integration of AI-driven tools and solutions into core marketing workflows to reduce manual tasks, enhance deliverable quality, and maximize organizational speed.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Coaching: Partner closely with senior marketing leaders to coach, influence, and drive strategic initiatives from ambiguous ideas to impactful, measurable outcomes.

Who you are
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree.

  • You possess 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience across marketing, business operations, or enterprise project management.

  • You have a proven track record of managing complex project management or operations initiatives from concept through execution.

  • You demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience building internal communication strategies and delivering executive presence in large forums.

  • You exhibit strong strategic agility and comfort navigating ambiguity while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
  • Prior experience or deep familiarity with pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial/marketing environments.

  • Solid understanding of marketing organization dynamics, core processes, and strategic mindsets.

  • Hands-on expertise with Agile methodologies, modern work management platforms, and generative AI productivity tools.

Location
  • This role is based in South San Francisco and offers a hybrid schedule working 3 day per week on campus.

  • No relocation benefits are available for this posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of CA is $136,300 -$252,700. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below. Benefits
