Senior Operational Accountant

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sofia for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will oversee financial transactions, prepare financial reports, manage budgets, analyze financial data, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Additional responsibilities include account reconciliation, financial forecasting, coordinating audits, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The role demands excellent organizational skills and a collaborative approach to work with the finance team to improve processes and ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Financial Accounting, Reporting, and Budget Management
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Financial Analysis, and Forecasting tools
• Knowledge of Local Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Detail-oriented with excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred
• Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or transportation sector is a plus
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
