Senior OCR Developer (f/m/x)

• Development and maintenance of backend applications using Spring Boot

• Design and implementation of RESTful APIs for OCR data workflows

• Fine-tuning and optimization of OCR models using Amazon Textract

• Deployment and management of services in Kubernetes environments

• Integration of MongoDB for document storage and retrieval

• Application of Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Image Processing techniques to enhance OCR performance

• Collaboration with internal teams to align technical solutions with business needs

• Living a risk culture by continuously developing and maintaining a sense of responsibility in the proactive handling of risks within Santander Germany.

• Successfully completed university degree in (business) computer science, information systems or alternatively a solid education and relevant experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in OCR technologies and backend development preferably in the financial sector

• Extensive and in-depth knowledge in the fields of OCR, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing and Data Engineering

• Expert knowledge in Amazon Textract

• Solid programming skills with Java & Python

• Experience with the key technologies Spring Boot, MongoDB, Kubernetes and REST APIs

• Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, IAM) for secure and scalable OCR workflows

• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies

• Positive and proactive problem-solving mindset

• Very good knowledge of English and German, Spanish would be an asset
