Role Summary
Ryt Bank is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, operation, security, and continuous improvement of the bank’s enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for end-to-end network management across corporate offices, data centre environments, and selected components within AWS and Alibaba Cloud. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, firewalls, VPNs, WiFi, and switching, with strong working knowledge of server and database administration to ensure secure, resilient, and high-performance systems that meet banking-grade availability and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Network Management
• Design, implement, operate, and maintain the bank’s enterprise network infrastructure,
including LAN, WAN, and VPN networks
• Administer and optimise enterprise-grade network switches, routing, and segmentation
• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and fault tolerance across all network
environments
• Lead network troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution
Network Security, Firewalls & VPN
• Manage and administer enterprise firewalls, security policies, and network access controls
• Design, deploy, and maintain site-to-site and remote-access VPNs
• Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with internal security standards,
regulatory requirements, and audit expectations
• Implement network hardening, segmentation, and monitoring best practices
WiFi & Office Network Infrastructure
• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise WiFi solutions for office environments
• Ensure secure authentication, coverage optimisation, and performance tuning
• Support office expansions, relocations, and upgrades from a network perspective
Cloud Networking (AWS & Alibaba Cloud)
• Manage and support hybrid network connectivity between on-premise environments and cloud platforms
• Administer selected networking components within AWS and Alibaba Cloud, including VPC/VPC-like constructs, routing, security groups, and connectivity services
• Support cloud-based workloads with secure, resilient network designs
Server & Database Administration
• Provide administration and operational support for servers and databases (on-premiseand/or cloud)
• Perform system maintenance, patching, performance monitoring, and capacity planning
• Support backup, recovery, and high-availability configurations
• Work closely with application and platform teams to ensure infrastructure reliability
Operations, Documentation & Governance
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and technical documentation
• Participate in change management, release planning, and maintenance windows
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory assessments
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership when required
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Experience
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on experience with:
o Enterprise firewalls and security appliances
o VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access)
o Enterprise network switches and routing
o Enterprise WiFi design and administration
• Practical experience supporting AWS and Alibaba Cloud networking
• Experience with server and database administration, including maintenance and operational support
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network, system, and connectivity layers
Technical Knowledge
• TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, network segmentation
• Network security principles and best practices
• High-availability and resilient infrastructure design
• Monitoring, logging, and performance optimisation
Qualifications & Certifications (Preferred)
• Relevant certifications such as:
o CCNP / CCIE or equivalent
o Firewall or security certifications
o AWS or Alibaba Cloud certifications
