  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of security controls across all network infrastructure.

  • Architect and develop robust network automation solutions using infrastructure as code.

  • Design and implement comprehensive network monitoring and observability solutions.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex network issues and participate in on-call rotations.

  • Drive the lifecycle management of physical network infrastructure and hardware.

  • Collaborate with the security team to define and implement strategic network security initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance (PCL).

  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering, architecture, and operations.

  • Juniper SRX/MX experience is a must.

  • Juniper Stack experience is a must.

  • Experience with SCIF and classified networks and protocols.

  • Demonstrated expertise in network protocols and architectures (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).

  • Extensive experience with cloud networking services, particularly in AWS.

  • Strong proficiency in network automation and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).

  • Experience with Linux/Windows systems administration.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of providing technical leadership.

  • Physical ability to work with network equipment (lifting up to 50 pounds, rack mounting).

  • Deep understanding of network security principles and implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Network Engineering, or a related field.

  • Advanced networking certification (CCNP, JNCIE-ENT, AWS Advanced Networking or equivalent).

  • Experience with multiple cloud providers and their networking services.

  • Experience with container networking and service mesh technologies.

  • Familiarity with modern DevOps and GitOps practices and tools.

  • Experience with large-scale and highly available network deployments.

  • Understanding of zero trust networking principles.

  • Experience with advanced network monitoring and observability platforms.

What We Do

Turion Space is building the infrastructure to secure and sustain the future of space. Founded to address the growing need for space domain awareness, in-space servicing, and debris mitigation, Turion designs, builds, and operates spacecraft with real-world operational capability. Our vehicles are built for national security and commercial missions that require speed, autonomy, and resilience.

We believe the next chapter of space operations will be defined by who can act, not just observe. That’s why we’re focused on building platforms that move fast, adapt in orbit, and solve problems ranging from satellite servicing to tactical intelligence gathering.

We successfully launched our DROID.001 satellite in June 2023 and DROID.002 in March 2025. DROID.003 is scheduled for launch in 2026.

Why Work With Us

Turion Space is where startup grit meets real space missions. We build and fly spacecraft for defense, servicing, and domain awareness. No red tape, no sidelines, just hands-on work that matters.
