Your Mission
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a robust, multi-server network environment, ensuring operational health, and supporting the infrastructure’s future evolution. Your expertise in network engineering, system administration, and Linux command-line operations will be essential in driving technical efforts across organizations and ensuring system compliance.
You Will Excel in This Role If You Are:
- A self-starter who can take initiative and lead technical efforts across multiple teams.
- Skilled in network engineering, system administration, and Linux command-line operations.
- Experienced in designing and supporting network infrastructure, with a planned future overhaul in mind.
- Knowledgeable in Secure the Enterprise (STE)/Secure the Network (STN) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system compliance.
- Adept at account management, system troubleshooting, and operational monitoring.
A Day in the Life Of:
- Manage and maintain a multi-server network, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Lead efforts to design and support network infrastructure, preparing for future system upgrades.
- Monitor network security and compliance, applying STE/STN and RMF best practices.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows systems, ensuring smooth operations.
- Create and maintain user accounts, supporting system access and security protocols.
Must Have:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree + 6 years OR Associate’s degree + 10 years OR High school diploma/GED + 12 years.
- Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in network or system administration.
- Strong Linux (command-line) and Windows system administration experience.
- Hands-on experience managing virtualized infrastructure, including multi-node and multi-site networks.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CNO (Computer Network Operations).
- Development experience is beneficial but not required.
