Zayo is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide high level technical advice, guidance, and troubleshooting support for the HCPS customer to maintain the highest levels of network availability, performance, and growth all with the utmost respect, professionalism, and courtesy. The Senior Network Engineer provides and maintains technical guidelines which the engineering team follows. Acts as part of a cross functional team which evaluates and maintains capacity for core services across the HCPS network. Serves as an answer point to the Sales Organization and an escalation point within the onsite HCPS engineering team.
**This position requires that the employee live in the Tampa, FL area.**
Responsibilities:

Design, build, implement, and support new and existing network architectures. Serve as a technical network lead for the HCPS contract.

Responsible for standardization maintained through the HCPS engineering team.

Responsible for review of Network Engineer’s modifications prior to implementation.

Administer and maintain existing HCPS network. Troubleshoot complex customer issues and coordinate third party vendor interaction if needed to ensure prompt and professional resolution. Serve as an escalation point within the HCPS team.

Provide and create documentation relative to the existing and new HCPS network as it evolves to the customer and ENA/Zayo HCPS team via internal knowledge transfer. Serve as technical consultant to the HCPS sales team. Assist the HCPS team through knowledge transfer, cross-training, and documentation in a group setting.

SME to the Technical Services Manager and team in researching, evaluating, and recommending new technologies for consideration relative to the HCPS contract.

Work with the HCPS Network Management to recommend network standards. Perform peer review over proposed network changes to ensure standards are met.

Is sought out for counsel and assistance on more difficult issues.

Is a source for providing training on existing skill requirements.

Serves as a role model; coaches and instructs others in area of expertise.

Identifies and initiates activities for to enable continuous improvement in employee effectiveness within the functional area and customer satisfaction with ENA/Zayo.

Impact directly supports ENA/Zayo achievement of short term and long-term success.

After-hours on-call support rotation.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
-
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering preferred.

Professional Level Cisco or significant progress towards certification with 4+ years of hands on support.

Advanced Level (4+) Fortinet or significant progress towards certification with 1 year+ of hands on support.
-
Minimum of twelve (12) years with significant and demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting large scale multi-protocol networks with strong experience configuring Cisco routers, switches, and security appliances.

Proven experience working with various routing protocols and technologies such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, QOS and Multicasting implementation and troubleshooting.

Strong understanding of layer 2, layer 3 networks and topologies.

Automation and scripting experience preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and perform efficiently with minimal supervision.

Experience with integration of IoT and client devices on wired, wireless networks.

Strong reporting and administration experience with Solarwinds

Strong understanding of subnetting, vlan and routing implementation.

Excellent oral and written skills with ability to present technical information in an understandable way to customers as well as non-technical associates.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. Ability to write technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Company hours accommodate our customer’s needs which require coverage on a rotating weekly, on-call schedule.

Late night maintenance and emergency trouble restoration will be required as necessary.

This is an exempt position, so the hours of work will be dependent on the work that needs to be addressed to accomplish the work ascribed to this position.

Must be able to obtain security background check, driving record review, and district badging requirements.
Base Salary Range: $95,800.00 - $136,900.00 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
