Summary of Position:
We are seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Networking Design and Operations specialist to operate, design and improve our networking, data center and cloud connectivity. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our global infrastructure services are designed, delivered and managed excellently, adhering to best practices and industry operational standards. Additionally, the position includes responsibilities as an Enterprise Network Specialist, enhancing our network infrastructure's performance and reliability.
Role Overview:
· Act as a primary contact for network-related services, ensuring alignment with internal standards and guidelines.
· Collaborate with various teams to maintain service quality, security, and compliance.
· Participate in local technical boards, influencing technical decisions and change management.
· Design, implement, and maintain the Data Center, LAN, WLAN, SDWAN and WAN infrastructure, focusing on optimal performance and security.
· Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring high availability.
· Design and drive Cloud Transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Managing data center, cloud, LAN, WAN, SDWAN services to meet agreed service levels.
· Participate in project and service reviews, ensuring adherence to budget, quality and process, compliance, and security standards.
· Supporting incident management and ensuring accurate service documentation.
· Monitoring LAN, WAN service capacity and performance, proposing improvements where necessary.
· Independently driving system upgrades, patches, and migrations to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
· Independently design and implement advance network designs catering to innovative industry trends in order to enhance Alcon’s business capabilities.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
· University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 7+ years of IT experience in LAN, WAN and WLAN, with over 3 years in an advanced operations or engineering role
· Proficiency in network protocols, security, and infrastructure management.
· Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in virtualized data center environments.
· Cisco CCNP or other Cisco/Juniper advanced certification
· Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, ITIL) are advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Strong skills in collaboration within a matrix organization.
· Experience in managing critical outages and driving process improvements.
· Proficiency with ServiceNow, ITIL certification, Cisco, Juniper and telecom solutions.
· Advanced experience in an individual contributor role configuring and troubleshooting network environments, cloud operations, and data center management.
Key Competencies:
· Detailed subject matter expertise in Data Center, Cloud, WAN, LAN, WLAN networking solution architecture, design and troubleshooting.
· Advanced knowledge of industry networking technologies including but not limited to Cisco, Juniper and Arista.
· Results-driven approach with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets.
· Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service delivery.
· Ability to act swiftly and decisively, prioritizing fast and effective solutions.
· Demonstrated self-discipline and commitment to achieving set objectives.
