The Role
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Senior IP Network Engineer who is committed to their work, and should be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment. The role will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of a global IP network. This is a great opportunity for an experienced IP engineer to demonstrate their technical and organisational ability, working in a small team of engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies.
The Person:
You will ideally have experience in within a high availability infrastructure environment. You can demonstrate enthusiasm for the delivery of solutions and have a methodical and logical approach to your work. It is crucial that you the ability to communicate successfully and succinctly in English with external clients and internal stakeholders at all levels. You will work well under pressure.
In this role you will be:
- Responsible for the design, operation, and maintenance of a global IP infrastructure.
- Driving the success of geo redundant connectivity solutions.
- Conscious of security at all layers.
- Lead on AgriTech Infrastructure for Cubic
- A key point of contact for vendors and providers.
- A mentor for less experienced engineers
- CCNP (or above) level knowledge and experience in the following required: BGP, OSPF, IPSEC VPN, MPLS/eVPN, VXLAN.
- Firewalls – Fortinet, CheckPoint or similar.
- Cloud-based networking experience – Azure, AWS.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IP network infrastructure design and implementation.
- Experience working in a NOC environment preferred.
- Proven track record in working with small teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting TCP/IP issues.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Previous experience working to aggressive timelines essential.
- Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service.
- Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for the completion of tasks.
- Ability to prioritise work tasks.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
