Develop, Deploy and Manage Next Generation (NextGEN) Network technology solutions aligning with Sanofi’s vision and growth are the key functions of Sanofi’s Connectivity Products team. 

This team, behind Sanofi’s Next Generation Network & Security services and infrastructure that powers it, is looking for a self-motivated and innovative thinking individual to raise the bar on Sanofi’s Network infrastructure while maintaining relevance in the fast moving and evolving network industry.

As a member of the team, you will also be interacting with cross-functional team engineers, architects, internal and vendor partners to evangelize and provide NextGEN network technology solutions to;

• Maximize the business value from Sanofi’s Digital Technology and Solutions investments.
• Unleash innovation for our organization, employees, and customers.

Main responsibilities:

• Leadership

• • Define the long-term technical strategy and roadmap for Connectivity Products – Network and Security.

• • Define network and security architecture, standards, patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership for platform modernization, complex network and security projects and transformation initiatives.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for critical network security incidents and complex technical issues.
  • Translate business, cybersecurity, and technology requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
  • Influence enterprise technology strategy and investment decisions.

• Designing and deploying scalable, efficient, & cost-effective network infrastructures & Software Defined Networking (SDN) ecosystem solutions.
  • Resilient, high-performance network architectures spanning physical on-premises data centers and multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure Cloud).
  • Core network hardware including enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.
  • Traffic Optimization by managing advanced communication and routing protocols (such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and QoS) to ensure efficient, error-free data transfer.
  • Network Security by implementing SASE, zero-trust principles, managing Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), and enforce perimeter access controls

• Continuous improvement of Network platform solutioning, specification & design, systems integration, platform lifecycle management, standards, and documentation.
• Drive process improvements that integrate automation and monitor effectiveness to improve efficiency, service delivery, automate configuration changes and eliminate manual errors with Network Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python with APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and automation platforms. 
• Engage and resolve escalated application performance and network / cloud operational issues.
• Ensure high levels of security, availability, and performance within the Sanofi’s network environment.

About you:

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering and network security.
• 7+ years of advanced network and security engineering/architecture experience.

• Technology leadership skills along with strong Interpersonal & Problem-Solving skills.
• An enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates with Network technology solutions.
• Relevant work experience in -
  • Networking Engineering – Routers & Switches along with Design, implementation, and migration experience of large-scale networks
  • Experience with LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN, Security & SASE technologies.
  • Design, implementation, and migration experience with Cisco – Nexus / Catalyst & Aruba (Wireless), Palo Alto technology.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Expertise: Proven experience connecting physical corporate infrastructure seamlessly to cloud platforms such as AWS VPCs, Azure ExpressRoute.
  • Designing & Deploying SASE/SSE Solutions: Implement CASB, SWG, ZTNA, and related capabilities; designing secure access across cloud, internet, and private environments.
  • Automation Mindset: Hands-on experience using scripting languages or automation frameworks to manage network infrastructure.

• Strong Layer 2/Layer 3 network architectural design and engineering background and experience (LAN/WLAN/WAN and Layer 2/Layer 3) in a large enterprise network environment.
  • Expert level routing is a must (BGP & OSPF)
• Knowledge of languages for scripting
  • Provisioning & Configuration management of networking devices using automation tools and scripting - Python, Ansible
• Networking in cloud computing experience (Azure & AWS)
• Familiarity and understanding of tunnelling protocols (vxLAN, GRE, IPSec)
• Working knowledge of DNS, Tacacs, Radius, DHCP, NetFlow, Syslog, etc.
• Exposure to SCADA modelled Network and concepts.
• Strong documentation skills in High Level Architecture & Design Solution
• Good communication and presentation skills including the ability to convey complex network related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Vendor (technical) management experience
• Occasional work outside business hours
• Travel may be required.
