Senior Network Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our Network & Datacenters team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

This role requires a hands-on engineer with excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, and the ability to work collaboratively within a global team.

What you'll be doing:

Design, Implement, Troubleshoot & Maintain

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network and datacenter environments.
• Deliver reliable LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewall, load balancing, and cloud networking solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex end-to-end network issues across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Participate in the design and delivery of new network solutions and infrastructure improvements.
• Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, architecture, and application teams to ensure secure and resilient network services.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve network performance, availability, automation, and operational efficiency.

Projects & Operational Support

• Participate in both project delivery and Business-as-Usual (BAU) operational activities.
• Support planned maintenance, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for critical production environments.

Who we are looking for:

Networking

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and the OSI model.
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex network issues across multiple technologies using TCPDUMP/Wireshark.
• Solid knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, NAT, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, SD-WAN and network security.
• Experience with enterprise network design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS networking services, including:

1. VPC
2. Transit Gateway
3. Transit Gateway routing
4. Direct Connect
5. Site-to-Site VPN
6. Route Tables
7. Security Groups

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Python or equivalent)
• Experience with VMware NSX-T and or Cisco ACI networking.
• Strong experience with Nexus datacenter switching.
• Exposure to network automation and scripting is advantageous
• Understanding of AI components – LLM’s, MCP’s etc…

Product Knowledge

Experience with one or more of the following technologies is desirable:

• Palo Alto Networks
• Cisco ASA
• Cisco Nexus
• Load balancer such as F5 BIG-IP  
• Infoblox
• VMware
• AWS Networking Services
• Cisco ACI
• Cisco Meraki
• Arista switching & routing
• Splunk, New Relic and/or Solarwinds observability tooling

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, AWS Advanced Networking, or equivalent are desirable.

Language Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
