Responsibilites
- Lead design, configuration, and support of Cisco ACI Data Center Infrastructure, including Multisite and NDO.
- Manage F5 BIGIP technologies (LTM, GTM, remote access, traffic management, application delivery).
- Architect and implement WAN/LAN, including routing, SDWAN, and SDAccess.
- Develop and maintain automation and monitoring scripts.
- Define and deliver network design requirements for enterprise and data center connectivity.
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate, select, and coordinate testing and deployment of new and existing hardware/software.
- Develop detailed maintenance plans, including documentation and change management activities.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades across enterprise and data center environments.
- Script and test change plans for upgrades and configurations.
- Serve as lead or supporting engineer during change implementations.
- Develop or adhere to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and MOPs (Methods of Procedure).
- Drive network standardization efforts across the enterprise.
- Document specialized network designs for internal training and knowledge sharing.
- Present and train internal teams on new network topologies, hardware, and emerging technologies.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and implement corrective actions.
- Define baseline network requirements and ensure compliance.
- Perform code analysis, IOS testing, and provide software recommendations.
- Build network lab mockups for scenario and error testing.
- Automate repetitive engineering tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or regional equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered at the manager's discretion.
- A minimum of 12–14 years of recent experience in network design, LAN/WAN buildouts, or large-scale network modernization.
- Expert-level experience with Cisco ACI, including Multisite and NDO.
- Extensive hands-on experience across technologies such as:
- MPLS, BGP, LDP, QoS, IPv6, OSPF
- vPC, STP, DWDM, EVPN, L2VPN
- MPLS VPN/L3VPN, FHRP, VLAN, CDP, PortChannels
- ISIS, MPLS InterAS, VXLAN
- DNS, ACLs, RADb, Flowspec, RTBH
- GitHub, APIs, NFV, Hypervisors, Virtual Switching
- Multivendor experience with Cisco IOS, ASR 1k (IOSXE), ASR NCS (IOSXR), and Nexus (NXOS).
- Experience in service provider, hosting/datacenter, or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to research, evaluate, and recommend network hardware/software solutions.
- Experience working with third-party networking vendors and their product portfolios.
- Required: CCNA
- Preferred: CCDA, CCNP, CCDP
- Highly Preferred: CCIE (R&S, SP, or DC) or equivalent experience
- Python certification (PCEP) is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
- Customer service–focused mindset.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as:
- Arbor, Zenoss, Syslog, SolarWinds, Splunk, Kibana, WhatsUp Gold, etc.
- Able to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
