Job Summary
The Senior Network Cost Analyst will work with all aspects of cost management of Lightpath's telecom expenses, including network and operations cost. This position reporting to the Cost Management Director will initially focus on all cost related to colocations and data centers to quickly become the SME (subject matter expert). The successful candidate will effectively manage changes by work closely with key contributors across multiple departments (Operations, Real Estate, Optimization, Accounting, Contract Management/Legal) to ensure consistent and accurate financials. This role will also require engagement with 3rd party vendors to work through resolutions and keep our account in good standing; sometimes including complex reconciliation efforts.
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for invoice approvals for all sites including validation of billing to contracts, escalations/CPI, reconciliations, disputes for wrongful billing, and change management.
  • Responsible for updating the ACS842 lease application, Costar, for accurate accounting procedures.
  • Manage inventory of data centers and colocation sites.
  • Maintain vendor contracts in Salesforce, validate expense against vendor quote and vendor orders against approved purchases.
  • Month end accounting/financial responsibilities will include accruals, variance analysis and presentation of results.
  • Work directly with outside vendors to resolve billing errors and disputes.
  • Ad hoc projects and requests as needed.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in cost analysis.
  • BA/BS Degree (or equivalent business experience) in a related discipline.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Oracle and TEOCO (invoice management system) experience preferred.
  • Advanced level MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Ability to interpret contractual obligations.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Adept with analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and collaborate across multiple business units.
  • Work well under pressure to meet deadlines and function with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to establish and manage effective relationships at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work well within a team environment and independently.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in Colorado. The pay range at the time of posting in the specified locations is $70,000 - $90,000/year. Pay ranges are supplied in compliance with Colorado law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience.
