LAB49 (an ION Group Company) is an NYC-based global financial technology consultancy. Currently we are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a primary focus on the C#/.NET back-end development to be based in the Mexico City Metro area. As a Senior .NET Consultant at LAB49, you will be at the forefront of driving transformative change for our esteemed Financial Services clients. Operating within an Agile environment, you will tackle complex and challenging projects, leveraging your robust experience to design and construct the next generation of technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and create software solutions using C#/.NET
- Be passionate about high code quality, scalability, reliability and security.
- Building, deploying and maintaining applications, microservices and data pipelines on various platforms.
- Create APIs to integrate with front-end and other third-party applications.
- Work with our clients in interactive, project-based engagements, where self-organizing and focused teams move quickly to build innovative solutions for the client.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into elegant and efficient solutions.
- Be determined to succeed despite obstacles and challenges, as well as a positive attitude favoring achievement of goals over open-ended investigation.
Required Skills and Experience
- 6+ years of solid hands-on experience with C#/.Net development.
- Solid experience with multi-tier architectures.
- Fluency with modern C# and its functional features.
- Strong grasp of software design and development methodologies.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills (B2 minimum/ C1 is preferred).
- Excellent communication/ presentation skills.
- Experience with, knowledge of, or strong demonstrated interest in, global financial markets and financial products is a plus.
- Modern front-end web technology experience a plus.
- Experience in SQL is a plus.
- Office presence in Mexico City 1 day per week (or more depending on project needs) required.
