Senior .NET Backend Developer

The Impact You’ll Have:

We are looking for an experienced .NET Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance digital solutions on the Optimizely platform. You will work as a skilled individual contributor within a collaborative engineering team, leveraging AI-assisted development practices to deliver scalable, cloud-native applications — while working closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to bring complex features to life.

What you’ll do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and applications using C# and .NET Core (.NET 8+).
• Develop and enhance Optimizely CMS, Commerce, and DXP solutions, including content models, APIs, middleware, and custom integrations.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve development velocity, code quality, and engineering efficiency.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs supporting front-end teams, third-party platforms, and microservices.
• Collaborate with QA to develop and maintain comprehensive automated testing.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing thoughtful and constructive feedback to engineering peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across backend services and platform integrations.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical discovery with cross-functional teams.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, including AI/ML services, and share relevant knowledge and best practices with the broader team.

What you’ll need:

• Strong experience designing and developing robust, scalable backend solutions using C# and .NET Core (.NET 8+).
• Hands-on experience with Optimizely CMS, Commerce, and/or DXP, including content modeling, APIs, middleware, and custom integrations.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Vertex Studios, Claude Code Assist, or similar LLM-based development tools.
• Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including integrations with front-end applications, third-party systems, and microservices.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex backend and platform integration issues.
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code and following modern software engineering best practices.

Future-Ready Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience integrating Generative AI or LLM-powered capabilities into enterprise applications, such as intelligent search, content generation, personalization, or conversational experiences.
• Familiarity with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, or other cloud-based AI/ML platforms.
• Experience in integrated marketing, digital agency, marketing services, or consulting environments preferred.
