Senior Motion Designer

At Zeely AI, we are looking for a Senior Motion Designer who will help systematically improve onboarding and in-product UX, increasing user activation and product understanding.

This is a high-scale role: your work will be seen and used by millions of users. You won’t just execute tasks — you’ll contribute to ideation and hypothesis testing, work with AI tools, and grow in areas like product motion and UX.

Zeely AI is a platform that uses artificial intelligence to create viral UGC videos and ad creatives, as well as launch effective campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok — helping small businesses gain visibility and scale.

Your key responsibilities:

• Create animations for user onboarding, explainer flows, product walkthroughs, and feature introductions

• Translate complex product features into clear, simple, and high-quality motion scenarios

• Design micro-interactions and UX animations that improve the in-product user experience

• Collaborate with product designers, growth team, and developers to align motion with product goals

• Prototype motion ideas in a product context — from concept to final implementation

• Prepare and optimize animations for production (Lottie / JSON / video / other performance-friendly formats)

• Maintain visual consistency, clean motion logic, and high technical quality

• Explore and test AI tools to speed up ideation and production workflows
  

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience as a Motion Designer, preferably in product / SaaS / mobile app / digital product environments

• Strong proficiency in After Effects and Figma

• Experience creating product animations: onboarding flows, explainer animations, feature introductions, UX motion

• Understanding of UX/UI principles and how motion impacts user behavior and experience

• Experience delivering production-ready animations (Lottie / JSON / web-ready / app-ready formats)

• Strong sense of timing, easing, composition, hierarchy, typography, and visual clarity

• Portfolio showcasing product motion, UX animation, onboarding or feature animations

• High level of autonomy and a proactive mindset — ability to suggest ideas and improvements, not just execute tasks

Nice to have:

• Experience with Rive or other tools for product-ready animations

• Experience with AI tools for motion / video

• Basic understanding of design systems and motion integration

• Graphic design skills (layout, typography, color, visual hierarchy)

• Experience with sound design or voiceover tools for product explainers
