About the role: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with a strong focus on Android mobile application testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing test plans, identifying bugs, and working closely with developers and product managers to ensure a high-quality user experience across various Android devices. You will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met before releasing our mobile applications to users.

A bit about the work: 

• Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on product requirements and specifications.

• Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and usability testing on mobile applications.

• Perform manual testing of Android mobile applications across a range of devices and OS versions.

• Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.

• Conduct regression, functional, UI/UX, smoke, and exploratory testing.

• Validate app performance, usability, and device compatibility.

• Identify, document, and track bugs using a bug-tracking system.

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand new features and functionalities.

• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Suggest and implement improvements to the testing process and QA methodologies.

A bit about you: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 6+ years of experience in manual testing, especially in an Android mobile environment. iOS knowledge is a plus.

• Experience with using API testing tools such as Charles or Postman

• Experience with Analytics testing such as MixPanel, Segment, etc.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Experience with automation testing and inclination to learn it in the future is a plus.

Location:

We have offices located in Sunnyvale, CA, San Francisco, CA and Brooklyn, NY. While we have a strong focus on individuals near our office hubs, we prefer remote and hybrid employment opportunities in the Pacific Time Zone (PT).

Pay Equity: 

In compliance with Pay Transparency Laws, the base salary range for this role is between $110,000 to $150,000. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered, including skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.
