Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native + Native)

The Role

• Engaging with clients and gaining a deep understanding of their problem, needs, goals, and priorities, as well as their technical architecture.

• Architecting, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable mobile applications using React Native and Native iOS and/or Android.

• Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications on both iOS and Android.

• Implementing best practices in mobile development, including testing, monitoring, and deployment.

• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in mobile development, both in the React Native ecosystem and native platforms.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in mobile application development.

• Strong proven experience building and shipping production applications that have been released on the App Store / Play Store.

• Demonstrated experience with React Native as well as native iOS development (Swift) and/or native Android development (Kotlin).

  • Experience connecting React Native apps to native modules for custom functionality.

• Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle for both iOS and Android.

• Familiarity with integrating with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.

• Experience with mobile testing and profiling frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Native Testing Library, etc).

• Comfortable with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for mobile applications.

• Experience managing projects and demonstrated record of ownership over work.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong eye for design and user experiences.

• Experience working with backend development.

• Experience building on the web with React, Next.js or similar.

• Experience with implementing accessibility features in mobile applications.
