Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native & Native Integration)

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead our transition into a hybrid mobile environment. Instead of a "greenfield" rewrite, you will be the architect responsible for embedding React Native into our existing, high-performance native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) apps. Your goal is to enable efficient cross-platform development for future modules (like Rewards and Community) while maintaining the integrity of our native core.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect the "Brownfield" Bridge: Lead the technical integration of React Native into existing Swift and Kotlin codebases.
• Cross-Platform Delivery: Build and deploy new, high-complexity features once for both iOS and Android.
• Auth & State Synchronization: Implement secure, real-time data sharing between native storage (Keychain/SharedPrefs) and the React Native engine.
• Performance Engineering: Manage engine startup times (Hermes/Turbo Modules) to ensure transitions feel native and snappy.
• Native Module Development: Write custom Native Modules in Swift/Kotlin when React Native needs to access deep device features.
• CI/CD Leadership: Update build pipelines to handle the dual nature of the app (npm alongside CocoaPods and Gradle).

• 5+ Years of Mobile Experience: A deep background in mobile-first development.
• React Native Expertise: Advanced knowledge of React Native internals (The Bridge, JSI, and the New Architecture).
• Native Foundations: Proficiency in Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java. You must be comfortable navigating a 100% native project.
• Hybrid Experience: Proven track record of "Brownfield" integration (adding RN to existing native apps).
• Security: Experience with OAuth, JWT, and securing sensitive data across hybrid environments.

Bonus Points

• Experience in HR Tech or Wellness.
• Experience with Expo Modules in a brownfield context.
• A passion for high-fidelity UI/UX and creating "invisible" transitions between platforms.
