What you’ll do
We are seeking a skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our mobile team, focusing on automation testing of Android applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, experience with automation frameworks, and a passion for delivering high-quality mobile applications.
- Manually test Android applications extensively to identify software defects and ensure they meet product requirements.
- Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications
- Define and establish automation strategies and processes
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Espresso, Android Studio, Appium)
- Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in mobile app testing and automation
- Propose and implement improvements to the testing process and infrastructure.
What you’ll need
- 5+ years of work experience as a QA Engineer, with a focus on mobile app testing and automation
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin are a must
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks (Android Studio is a must; experience with Espresso is desirable; experience with Appium, Kakao, Kaspresso will be considered as a plus)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions)
- Strong understanding of mobile operating systems (Android) and mobile application development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Experience working with agile methodologies
- Proven problem-solving skills and keen eye for details
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
