What you’ll do
- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise the melting personnel on shift. Monitoring and support the team to achieve cycle times and ensuring production targets are met. Motivate and encourage the team and foster teamwork.
- Quality and Continuous Improvement: Maintain the integrity of the ISO 9001 system. Ensure policies and procedures are followed, and where applicable, ensure continuous improvement is applied through controlled management of change.
- Technical and Operations: Guide the team while carrying out oversight ensuring operating conditions remain safe and within performance expectations.
- Reporting and Communications: Maintaining effective communication with other supervisors, departments, and management.
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture. Operate machines / equipment in accordance with safe work instructions. Adhere to required protective clothing rules and ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
- Grade 12(matric).
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
