Job Summary:
A Senior Mechanical Site Engineer plans, leads, and supervises Mechanical site works such as installation of Fire Fighting Systems, air-conditioning, and mechanical ventilation in building and infrastructure projects. In addition to coordinating Mechanical works with other site activities, the Senior Mechanical Site Engineer oversees site engineers, subcontractors, and labor to ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with approved drawings and specifications. The Engineer provides advanced technical solutions for Mechanical site issues and acts as the main Mechanical point of contact with project stakeholders.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage Mechanical site works to meet project specifications, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
· Supervise and guide Mechanical site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and site labor.
· Prepare and submit progress reports to the client and project manager, including delays, defects, and corrective actions related to Mechanical works.
· Review and interpret technical designs, drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
· Provide technical support and resolve complex Mechanical site issues efficiently.
· Supervise installation of Mechanical systems including Fire Fighting Systems, HVAC, and mechanical ventilation.
· Coordinate Mechanical activities with other disciplines (civil, architectural, electrical) to avoid clashes and delays.
· Manage assigned project areas and ensure required information and resources are available for effective execution.
· Ensure subcontractors’ activities comply with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and quality requirements.
· Monitor work progress and productivity to ensure efficient use of manpower and resources.
· Assist in inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover of Mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering
· 4:5 years of relevant experience
· Very Good in English.
· Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design tools.
· Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection).
· Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software (MS Office- AutoCAD).
Skills Required
- Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering
- 4-5 years of relevant mechanical site experience
- Very good English communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design tools
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection)
- Computer skills and familiarity with MS Office
