Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop our next generation thin film deposition equipment. Responsibilities include leading projects, interfacing with various operational resources, and developing new products. The role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, and may include fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, creative, and possesses strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is new product design and product improvement
- Lead and collaborate with resources across operations (engineering, material control, assembly, test, and service) to achieve quality objectives; may oversee and direct others
- Drive product scalability in Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Lead product development projects, including improvements and new developments
- Assemble and test prototypes
- Create project budgets and timelines
- Collaborate with manufacturing for cost-effective fabrication
- Work with subcontractors and vendors for custom components
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues
- Provide detailed project reports
- Participate in industry conferences and workshops
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Ensure compliance with workplace policies and safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Required
- BS or greater degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- At least Five (5) years of industrial machine design experience
- Strong Finite Element Analysis background using Ansys or Equivalent simulation package
- Five (5) years’ experience with Solid Edge or other mid-range modeling package
- Expert level GD&T skills
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to, and including, 50 lbs unassisted. Assistance must be used for any items over this weight.
- Hands on experience with vacuum or thin film deposition equipment
