What Will You Do: 

  • Lead mechanical engineering design activities on major projects in the United States and Canada
  • Design, model, and simulate mechanical systems for hyperscale and AI data centres, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, cooling towers, chilled water systems, and boilers. 
  • Prepare engineering calculations and detailed mechanical drawings. 
  • Design highly energy-efficient and sustainable systems.
  • Create technical documentation for project execution, including design criteria and specifications. 
  • Ensure project requirements are met in terms of scope, cost, and schedule. 
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate BIM models and resolve conflicts. 
  • Review shop drawings for compliance with engineering codes and safety standards. 
  • Develop and maintain project scope documentation and revisions. 
  • Utilize BIM tools for virtual construction of mechanical systems and coordination with other disciplines.
  • Manage and coordinate projects, including on-site supervision. 
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress. 
  • Utilize laser scanning technology to document installation states. 

What We Expect: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university. 
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the construction industry. 
  • Experience with data centre projects or other large-scale industrial projects is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit), CAD modeling tools, and other relevant engineering software (Computational Fluid Dynamics software). 
  • Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes. 
  • Familiarity with mechanical codes and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management abilities, including the coordination and supervision of on-site activities.
  • Possession of a valid Professional Engineer (PEng) license will be a plus.
  • Good project and client leadership skills. 
  • Willingness to travel frequently to client sites located in Canada and the United States (Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Texas, Colorado, and Virginia).
  • Ability to work from home.
  • Authorization to work in Canada.

Skills Required
