What We Do
Bimotal designs integrated powertrains — motor, gearbox, power electronics, firmware, and enclosures — for teams that need bespoke high-performance actuation. We serve robotics, medical, mobility, and aerospace customers who can't get what they need from incumbents on the timeline modern hardware teams require. To meet that demand, we're building automated design software for compact motor drives, which lets us deliver custom solutions far faster than the industry standard. Our vision is to become the actuation and motion layer for the next generation of robotics — the muscle that complements progress in AI and controls. To date, we've shipped real hardware and launched a consumer product that won TIME's Best Inventions of 2024, signed B2B contracts to extend our product and application suite, and are building pipeline to serve the actuation needs of tomorrow.
Why Work With Us
Bimotal's core mission is to elevate human capability. This very much includes that of every employee. We promote a high-agency, low-ego work environment focused on solving hard problems. We collaborate in-person in beautiful Berkeley, CA and have full prototyping, testing, and assembly all in one location.
