Position Overview

The Senior Marketing Communications Manager reports to the Marketing Communications Director and is primarily responsible for leading integrated marketing communications across Spine, Extremities and Trauma portfolios, serving as a senior strategic partner to Product Marketing, Sales, Clinical/Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and external agency/vendor partners.

Work Arrangement

  • Full-time
  • Hybrid: 3-days onsite in Alpharetta, GA

Responsibilities

This position requires an experienced marketer who can think both strategically and execute with precision – owning campaign development from insight to execution, translating the business or customer problem defined with cross functional leaders, writing creative briefs, aligning cross-functional partners, leading agency development, managing medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) approval, production, launch, and measuring results.

Integrated campaigns will support brand awareness, product adoption, sales enablement, and revenue growth across Spine, Extremities and Trauma. Success in this role requires both strong campaign judgment and hands-on execution across digital, email, social, events, sales tools, video, and print.

Campaign Strategy, Development & Execution

  • Partner with internal Spine, Extremities and Trauma Product Marketing, Marketing Communications Director, Medical Affairs and Sales teams to translate priority customer needs, business objectives, competitive challenges, and content gaps into marketing communications campaigns.
  • Develop and execute campaigns and product launches, translating launch strategies and product priorities into coordinated marketing communications, content, and campaign execution.
  • Author clear, actionable campaign creative briefs that translate agreed business objectives and persona priorities into customer insight/problem, single-minded message, proof points, call to action, channel strategy, deliverables, success metrics, timeline, and budget parameters.
  • Lead agency kickoff sessions and serve as the day-to-day campaign owner. Guide agency and internal creative partners through campaign concepting, copy development, design review, MLR preparation, production, launch, and post-launch optimization while maintaining brand voice and compliance requirements.
  • Provide senior-level counsel on portfolio priorities, campaign sequencing, resource allocation, agency scope, and channel investment across Spine, Extremities, and Trauma.
  • Translate technical product information, clinical evidence, surgeon feedback, and field insights into clear, audience-appropriate messaging and campaign concepts.
  • Own post-launch campaign performance reviews by consolidating metrics, field feedback, and agency learnings, identify what worked, document improvements, and apply insights to the next campaign cycle.

Content Management

  • Develop and execute integrated omnichannel campaigns across print, social, digital, email, video, web, event, and sales enablement resources, ensuring each tactic directly supports the approved campaign strategy and launch plan.
  • Own the marketing workflow required to move materials through Veeva/MLR for submissions, annotations, version control, routing, tracking, and final approved-file management.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Clinical/Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Sales to translate clinical evidence and product strategy into differentiated value propositions and compliant promotional messaging.

Sales Enablement Strategy & Tools

  • Ensure Spine, Extremities and Trauma campaign and sales-enablement content is organized, current, easy to find, and appropriately deployed in our sales enablement platform, HighSpot, so sales representatives and distributors can use it effectively.
  • Use HighSpot and campaign analytics to identify adoption, usage, content gaps, and opportunities to improve field activation; recommend actions rather than reporting metrics alone.

Market Research & Strategic Insight

  • Lead focused qualitative or quantitative research to understand surgeon/customer needs, campaign response, competitive perceptions, and field opportunities.
  • Analyze research, campaign performance, field feedback, and customer insights and translate them into clear implications for campaign strategy, messaging, content, and targeting.
  • Maintain a prioritized campaign/content pipeline based on commercial priorities, competitive intelligence, customer feedback, evidence milestones, product launches, and identified market gaps.

Digital Marketing & Analytics

  • Plan, develop and execute social media, website, email and texting campaign tactics as extensions of approved campaign strategy, ensuring brand voice consistency, message discipline, and compliance with guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communication peers to monitor and report on digital KPIs including social engagement, reach, click-through rate, lead conversion, email performance, and content usage to evaluate campaign performance and recommend optimizations.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Director on website strategy, SEO priorities, landing pages, campaign pages, and content updates that support growth objectives.
  • Manage Kuros U.S. Spine, Extremities and Trauma website content, owning updates and ensuring pages reflect current messaging, approved claims, product offerings, and campaign priorities.
  • Build and deploy email campaigns in HubSpot for distributor partners and, where appropriate, surgeon audiences, ensuring content and cadence align with the active campaign brief.

Event & Tradeshow Execution

  • Lead marketing execution for priority Spine, Extremities and Trauma trade shows based on strategy set by segment leaders/Product Management, including event graphics, collateral, advertising, and pre-/post-show communications.
  • Partner with the Marketing Communications Director and Events team to set direction and deliver event marketing content and support follow-up and performance reporting.
  • Lead marketing content and execution for education and advocacy events.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Marketing Communications Director, other Marketing Communications peers, and Spine, Extremities and Trauma Managers/Directors to align positioning, launch priorities, campaign timing, claims, and cross-portfolio messaging.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum of seven years of progressive medical device experience in marketing communications, campaign development and management, healthcare marketing, medical device marketing, or a related commercial marketing role.
  • Proven track record developing and launching integrated marketing campaigns, managing multiple integrated campaigns from strategic definition through MLR/approval, launch, field activation, and post-campaign performance analysis; product-launch experience is strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven track record as a subject matter expert in spine, orthopedics, extremities, trauma, biologics, or another surgeon-focused device category is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced project-management and prioritization skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple deadlines, owners, agencies, approvals, and dependencies without losing strategic focus or executional detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate expectations clearly, facilitate decisions, give actionable creative feedback, and present recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in understanding and interfacing with HCPs and/or field sales organizations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Hands-on experience managing organic and paid social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, including campaign setup, content publishing, audience targeting, performance monitoring, and optimization.
  • Experience with Veeva or a comparable MLR/quality system and familiarity with medical-device or regulated-industry promotional review requirements.
  • Proficiency with enablement tools such as HubSpot and HighSpot used to support campaign execution and sales enablement.

Skills

  • Campaign strategy and ownership: able to diagnose the business/customer problem, identify the campaign needed, define the brief and audience journey, set direction, and own execution through launch and optimization.
  • Creative brief writing: clear, focused, audience-specific, strategically reasoned, and actionable enough for an agency or internal partner to execute against.
  • Agency and stakeholder management: experienced in leading kickoffs, reviewing creative work, managing feedback, and holding partners to strategy, branding and timing.
  • Integrated campaign execution: able to connect content, print, email, social, web, events, and sales enablement into one coordinated launch plan.
  • Sales enablement: able to translate campaign strategy into practical field tools, rollout communications, and resources on HighSpot that sales and distributor partners will use.
  • Insight translation: able to turn research, customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and performance data into clear marketing decisions rather than simply summarizing findings.
  • Digital and email execution: hands-on ability to build, launch and measure digital/email tactics including social and HubSpot email campaigns.
  • Launch and event execution: able to manage detailed launch/event plans, dependencies, timelines, field communication, lead follow-up, and measurement.
  • Ownership & collaboration: proactive, accountable, organized, receptive to feedback, able to lead with a high degree of independence, and skilled at keeping cross-functional partners aligned.

Travel Requirement

  • Up to 20-30% travel, with ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
