As we accelerate production, expand capabilities, and prepare for the next generation of manufacturing, we are seeking exceptional Senior Manufacturing Managers to lead at the heart of our Final Assembly operations.
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most advanced widebody production systems in the world-and to play a defining role in shaping Boeing's future.
Your Impact
As a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) in North Charleston, South Carolina, you will lead frontline manufacturing leaders and teams responsible for delivering the 787 Dreamliner-one of the most technologically advanced aircraft ever built.
You will serve as a cornerstone leader, translating strategic production goals into disciplined execution on the factory floor-while building a culture grounded in safety, quality, accountability, and pride.
You will:
  • Lead, manage and inspire manufacturing teams responsible for building the world's most advanced commercial aircraft
  • Drive operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
  • Build and develop exceptional leaders, strengthening Boeing's leadership pipeline for the future
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Leadership to achieve production milestones
  • Champion continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, and operational innovation
  • Help position Boeing South Carolina for increased production rates and long-term growth

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of aerospace, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams
  • 3+ years of experience leading, motivating and developing others
  • Demonstrated ability to lead across organizations and influence outcomes
  • Decision-making capability in complex, dynamic environments

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience, ideally in Final Assembly, Structures, Interiors, or Flight Test
  • 3+ years of proven success leading Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience leading through production ramp-ups, operational transformation, or growth environments
  • Track record of building high-engagement, high-performance teams
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • A&P Certification

Shift:
This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until a re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.

Pay & Benefits:

The Boeing Company also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $141,950 - $192,050
