Radiant Industries is an El Segundo, CA-based startup developing Kaleidos, a portable, containerized nuclear microreactor. Portable nuclear power with rapid deploy capability can replace diesel generators used today to provide critical asset support for hospitals, datacenters, and military bases or to power microgrids at remote sites. Radiant’s unique, practical approach to nuclear development utilizes modern software engineering to rapidly achieve safe, factory-constructable microreactors leveraging existing, well-qualified materials. Radiant is on a fast track to demonstrate the first fueled operation of a new commercial nuclear reactor design, just two years from now.
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Radiant is seeking the first dedicated and highly motivated senior manufacturing engineer responsible for the end-to-end manufacturing process of critical subcomponents, assemblies, and systems for the Kaleidos microreactor. You will drive, define, and refine best manufacturing practices and processes that set the stage for mass-producing reactors. You will ensure reliable, safe, quality, and delivery of the Kaleidos demonstration unit that will test in 2026 at the Idaho National Lab and be instrumental to testing the first new reactor design in over 50 years. You will work closely with design engineers to innovate on the production of complex mechanisms and structures critical to our microreactor technology.

What We Do
Radiant is a clean energy startup building a nuclear microreactor. A climate-friendly alternative to diesel generators, Radiant's Kaleidos 1MW microreactor will be the world's first portable, zero-emissions power source that works anywhere. We plan to test our development reactor by 2026 and if successful, it will be the first new commercial reactor design to achieve a fueled test in over 50 years. Our microreactor can bring power to remote parts of the world and provide backup power for life-saving applications in hospitals or disaster-relief scenarios.
Why Work With Us
Our world-class team has prior experience in complex hardware development from SpaceX, McMaster, The Boring Company, and renowned national laboratories that define our mentality to radically improve our microreactors. We care deeply about our mission to reduce carbon emissions, and have fun while doing so from trivia nights to ski retreats.
