Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, with expertise in airplane structures, production readiness and composite fabrication. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of the stand-up of a composite fabrication center within the BDS Fabrication organization.

Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle structures with composite fabrication parts
- Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency
- Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers
- Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and assembly considerations
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience)
- 1+ years of experience in composites fabrication
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
- Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
- Experience with 3D model-based instruction
- Experience with any of the following: Siemens NX, IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA,
- Experience with VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi- Monitor Collaborative Rooms, rapid prototyping or manufacturing
- Experience leading Full Size Determinant Assembly (FSDA) development/deployment activity
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci)
- Experience reviewing and approving other engineers' work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.)
