About the Role
The Lead UI/UX Designer in AIA Group Innovation Office defines and governs user‑experience standards across digital products. The role ensures complex business and technology concepts are translated into intuitive and seamless experiences that support customer value and AIA’s strategic goals. The designer also guides cross‑functional teams to maintain design quality, consistency, and forward‑looking UI/UX practices.Design Governance and Strategy (40%)
• Create and refine UI/UX principles, guidelines and best practices for AI solutions.
• Conduct audits to ensure usability, accessibility, and alignment with compliance and AIA’s design system.
• Maintain a cohesive product vision using data insights and market trends.
Review and Expert Feedback (30%)
• Review all UI/UX deliverables from internal teams and vendors and provide actionable feedback.
• Ensure concepts and designed meet user needs, regulatory requirements, and experience standards.
• Identify market‑specific UX needs and support their adoption.
Collaboration, Leadership, and Workflow Excellence (20%)
• Work with product managers, engineering, data scientist, and business teams to embed UX strategy.
• Lead workshops and knowledge‑sharing sessions for design team.
• Support workflow improvements and UX practice transformation.
Continuous Improvement and Forward Innovation (10%)
• Monitor emerging UI/UX trends in AI-driven design, user experience and industry best practices.
• Recommend enhancements that improve usability and engagement.
• Encourage exploration of future‑focused experience opportunities.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
Experience: 8 - 12 years in UI/UX design, with governance or leadership experience preferred.
Certifications: UX Certification (NN/g or similar) is a plus.

- Proven leadership in collaboration, senior stakeholder management, and communication.
- Experience guiding partners and influencing strategic design.
- High sense of ownership and commitment to quality.
- Innovative, future‑focused mindset with strategic perspective.
- Deep understanding of design systems, accessibility, and interaction design.
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
