Job Summary

The Sr Manager of Training will oversee a dedicated training team within McKesson Canada Specialty Health, serving as a strategic partner to the business units. This role focuses on leading the development and execution of training initiatives that enhance staff capabilities, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services to patients and customers. By creatively designing and implementing effective training methods, they will ensure that the workforce remains skilled, confident, and aligned with company policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive training strategy in alignment with business objectives, managing a high-performing team to deliver top-tier training.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and address training needs, including specialized requirements to enhance customer experience.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of training initiatives with the goals of various business units within McKesson Canada Specialty Health.
  • Oversee the design, development, and upkeep for the onboarding curricula for new and returning staff within Specialty Health.
  • Engage in cross-functional continuous improvement activities, contributing to process and quality enhancements through targeted training.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to facilitate change management training for new or updated operational processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional sales training, equipping staff with the necessary tools to effectively communicate McKesson Canada Specialty Health’s value propositions.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of both in-person and virtual training sessions; monitor performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to audiences at all organizational levels, from team members to management.
  • Simplify complex topics into clear, understandable training sessions for employees.
  • Optimize training processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the management of Specialty Health training modules and systems (i.e., Cornerstone OnDemand, Absorbe, etc.).
  • Ensure training content remains current, relevant, and aligned with the latest industry innovations and standards.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in training, e-learning, and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in developing and managing training programs.
  • Post-secondary education (college, university) in relevant discipline.

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French) is an asset.
  • Proven experience in leading and inspiring a team, with a track record of fostering collaboration and driving team success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong case management skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems, training applications and technologies (Cornerstone OnDemand, Articulate, Absorbe).
  • Ability to manage multiple training projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Self-starter with a keen eye for identifying improvement opportunities and initiating change.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and decision-making skills.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$98,700 - $164,400
