About This Role
The Senior Manager, Commercial Techno Functional Business Analyst is a champion in Commercial Advance Analytics and passionate about solving complex commercial business use cases. This individual will lead in delivering effective IT solutions to support the Commercial Advance Analytics. This individual will collaborate closely with other enabling IT functions to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT Analytics services that meet the business needs.
The Senior Manager is a member of the Commercial IT team but are often the person found performing the most complex tasks in defining the key data requirements, hypothesis generation for Advance Analytics use cases on behalf of the user community. This individual will work closely with the Advance Analytics and orchestration, Patient Services, Marketing Operations team part of Biogen North America on some of interesting use cases like Patient 360, microtargeting, HCP Next Best Action, lead generation to achieve better patient outreach, improved patient engagement, HCP engagement, addressing key patient onboarding challenges, proactive measures to avoid patient discontinuation. This individual who knows the ins and outs of the source systems, source data model, source business process flows and in charge with figuring out how to get a particular job done and they are always at the forefront in new analytical implementation. This role will report to, Associate Director Advance Analytics Solutions who is part of Commercial IT team.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for understanding the Patient Services strategy, Specialty Pharmacy services, claims data, marketing data and translating it into opportunities and requirements for technology solutions.
- Proactively anticipate business needs and shape demand for IT Analytics services. This will require an ability to stay abreast of industry trends, and to work closely with the function's leadership team to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Develop functional roadmaps that are aligned with Advance Analytics strategy and priorities across different Commercial Products. This will require an ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals, and to collaborate with other IT functions to ensure alignment and integration of roadmaps and to balance competing demands and priorities.
- Engage and develop relationships with the right functional partners, including Functional Steering Committees and subject matter experts.
- Confidently lead teams by cascading relevant information, aligning activities with IT strategy and priorities, fostering teamwork and collaboration, sharing and listening to ideas from the team
- Work closely with third party resources to maintain and deliver robust unified analytics platforms
- Ensure technical, process and project documentation are developed, deployed and maintained for knowledge management.
- Managing Risks/Tradeoffs: Articulate key risks, dependencies, and scope tradeoffs within and across functions – and effectively mitigate risks/tradeoffs by identifying and driving changes to approach, timeline, or scope.
- Communicating: Clearly communicate project status, schedule, risks, issues, and changes/resolutions – keeping all stakeholders involved and informed on a regular basis.

Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields
- 7-10years of experience in leading Advance analytics solutions within life sciences
- Prior IT work supporting Commercial , Patient Services and Marketing Analytics services is preferred
- Experience in leading teams of data analysts and engineers in the delivery of a data analytic platform
- Relevant experience in data warehousing, dimensional modeling and the ability to bring standard methodologies with regards to data orchestration and data governance
- Proven ability to respond to and prioritize changing business demands effectively
- Solid understanding of Patient Services data/ process flows, Specialty pharmacy functions, patient copay management, Claims data, payer data. Marketing data knowledge is a plus
- Solid understanding of various database management systems like Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle as well as proficiency in working with large data sets
- Awareness of design and implementation practices in Advance Analytics tools such as Data Bricks
- Demonstrated complex critical thinking and ability to creatively solve problems with measurable business impact
- Experience addressing current and future customer needs through innovative solutions
- Working knowledge of Information security and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to build trust and credibility, and to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
