The Senior Manager – Technical Integration, Metro Line 7 is responsible for end‑to‑end technical integration across all systems, civil works, and interfaces on Metro Line 7. The role ensures that all subsystems are fully integrated, interoperable, and compliant with safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.

The post‑holder leads the integration strategy, coordinates multi‑disciplinary engineering teams and contractors, and drives integration testing and commissioning to achieve safe, reliable, and timely entry into revenue service for Metro Line 7.

What You'll Be Doing;

  • Develop and maintain the overall technical integration strategy for Metro Line 7, covering design, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Define integration principles, standards, and acceptance criteria, aligned with programme objectives, national regulations, and industry best practice.
  • Establish and chair integration forums and technical coordination meetings across all packages and disciplines.
  • Ensure clear definition of responsibilities and interfaces between engineering, civil works, systems contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Apply systems engineering methodologies (requirements management, V&V, configuration control) across Metro Line 7 subsystems.
  • Lead the identification, definition, and management of technical interfaces:
    • Between line‑wide systems (signalling, telecoms, PSDs, traction power, SCADA, AFC, etc.)
    • Between systems and civil assets (tunnels, viaducts, stations, depots, OCC/BOCC)
    • Between Metro Line 7 and other lines, transport modes, and third‑party utilities
  • Oversee the Interface Control Document (ICD) process and ensure timely closure of interface issues and technical queries.
  • Ensure that system architectures and designs are coherent, cyber‑secure, and support future scalability and upgrades.
  • Coordinate multi‑disciplinary design reviews to ensure integrated, clash‑free and operable solutions.
  • Ensure that all designs meet:
    • Functional and performance requirements
    • Safety and RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) targets
    • Local and international standards/codes
  • Work closely with Independent Safety Assessor and Independent Checker/Engineer to demonstrate integrated system safety and compliance.
  • Drive resolution of cross‑discipline design issues, concessions, and non‑conformities.
  • Develop and oversee the integration testing and commissioning strategy for Metro Line 7, including factory, static, dynamic, and trial running phases.
  • Define test programmes and sequences to progressively validate integration between subsystems and the complete railway.
  • Coordinate integration tests involving multiple contractors and disciplines; ensure availability of resources, access, and test tools.
  • Monitor test results, defect logs, and corrective actions, ensuring closure of integration issues before revenue service.
  • Support safety case preparation and approvals for trial running and passenger operations.
  • Ensure integration of safety and RAMS requirements across all systems and interfaces.
  • Review and consolidate safety analyses, hazard logs, and risk assessments, ensuring appropriate allocation and mitigation of hazards at interfaces.
  • Support preparation of the system safety case, including integration evidence and justifications.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure that integrated systems support operational concepts, procedures, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to operational readiness planning and trial operations for Metro Line 7
  • Support the Programme Director in aligning technical integration activities with overall programme schedule and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain integration work plans, schedules, and risk registers.
  • Identify and manage technical integration risks, dependencies, and constraints, proposing mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Provide regular status reports, dashboards, and briefings on integration progress, issues, and decisions required.
  • Support change control processes, assessing the integration impacts of design changes, variations, and scope adjustments.
  • Act as the principal point of contact for technical integration matters with:
    • Design consultants
    • Systems and civil contractors
    • Supervising/PMC teams
