Summary:

We’re seeking a Sr. Manager, Technical Accounting to serve as the firm’s technical accounting leader within our fund accounting team. This role will own complex accounting interpretation, policy development, and audit support across our investment platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical accounting subject-matter expert for fund and investment-related accounting matters
  • Research and interpret U.S. GAAP; draft clear, audit-ready technical accounting memos
  • Lead implementation of new accounting standards and policy updates
  • Partner closely with Fund Accounting, Valuation, Tax, Legal, and Operations
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting from a technical perspective
  • Act as a key liaison with external auditors and third-party service providers
  • Strengthen accounting policies, documentation standards, and internal controls
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, including workflow automation
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to accounting professionals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
  • CPA required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or asset management)
  • Strong technical accounting background with proven GAAP research experience
  • Experience supporting investment funds, complex transactions, or multi-entity structures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to partner confidently with senior leaders and external auditors
  • Fund accounting exposure (registered funds, private funds, REITs, or complex investment vehicles) preferred
  • Process improvement mindset; experience modernizing accounting workflows
