Is this job for you?

Faherty Brand is seeking a Senior Manager of Systems & Automation to own the administration and continuous improvement of the company's core business systems and the integrations that connect them. This role has primary ownership of NetSuite as one of several critical systems under its purview alongside other platforms used across Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Ecommerce, Wholesale, Retail Operations, and Planning & Allocation and is the senior point of accountability for how those systems are administered and connected. The senior manager will proactively identify and eliminate redundant or manual processes through AI-driven automation, own integrations across systems, lead UAT for new implementations, and project manage the onboarding of new systems and integrations in partnership with teams across the business.
What you’ll do:

Netsuite/Systems Administration & Governance

  • Oversee administration of Netsuite, covering user access, roles/permissions, licensing, and environment management (e.g., Sandbox, Release Preview, Production)
  • Oversee planning and communication of major upgrade cycles, releases, and environment refreshes, ensuring minimal business disruption
  • Ensure configuration and customization requests (custom fields, workflows, new department/location setups, role design) are delivered in line with business needs
  • Ensure end users across departments have a reliable path to support for systems issues, and oversee resolution of escalated or complex issues
  • Monitor platform health and vendor performance (e.g., outages, degraded service) and ensure timely communication to the business
  • Monitor vendor product roadmaps, webinars, and new feature releases (e.g., AI tooling) relevant to the company's systems and evaluate their fit
  • Manage vendor relationships as needed to support administration, support, and project delivery across systems

Process Improvement, Automation & Integration Ownership

  • Identify redundant, manual, or duplicative processes across business systems and design AI-driven automation to streamline or eliminate them
  • Own and manage integrations between core systems (e.g., NetSuite, Shopify, reporting/dashboard tools, AI platforms), acting as the primary owner for how systems connect and exchange data
  • Establish standards and governance for how new integrations are designed, tested, and maintained

Project & Implementation Management

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all new system implementations and integrations, including test planning, coordinating tester participation across departments, and sign-off before go-live
  • Project manage the onboarding of new systems and integrations from kickoff through launch, including timelines, stakeholder coordination, and post-launch support
  • Partner with multiple teams across the business to scope, support, and deliver projects that require new or modified system integrations

What you’ll have:

  • 5+ years of experience spanning both retail business operations and technology/systems work - candidates from non-IT backgrounds (e.g., operations, merchandising, ecommerce) with strong technical fluency are encouraged to apply
  • Hands-on experience administering NetSuite or a comparable ERP (roles/permissions, customizations, upgrade cycles, environment management) strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to automate manual/redundant business processes
  • Experience owning system integrations end-to-end, including integration architecture, UAT planning, and execution
  • Strong project management skills, particularly leading onboarding of new systems or integrations across multiple teams
  • Experience with retail/DTC business processes (store openings, wholesale, e-commerce, financial close)
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills; comfortable operating as both a strategic partner to leadership and a hands-on problem-solver
  • Experience managing direct reports and/or external vendors/consultants

We aim to pay competitively for our size and industry. The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 USD, but we will consider location, skill level and experience to determine the final offer.
