SENIOR MANAGER, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Position Summary...• Manage a high performing team of 8-10 people and own the accountability of complete E2E delivery
• Drive design, development, implementation and documentation
• Should be good in stakeholder and program management
• Establish best engineering practices and operation excellence backed up with product, engineering and scrum metrics
• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
• Work closely with the Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) within the established architectural guidelines.
• Work with senior leadership to chart out the future roadmap of the products
• Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams.
• Participating in organizational events like hackathon’s/demo days etc...
• Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.
• Mentoring and coaching team and help them grow.

About the team

Run Time Platforms (RTP) is part of Global Technology Platform (GTP) which is responsible for building products and platforms which helps application teams to deploy and manage the run time aspects. This role is for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Service Registry product which are homegrown solutions.

• Own the delivery of specific products
• Stake holder management
• Coach and Mentor people

What You’ll bring

• Preferably a person with a very strong technical acumen.
• Experience in building distributed systems at scale
• Ability to understand the architecture and design and contribute to those discussions.
• Focus on engineering and operational excellence and setup the best practices for the team.
• Hands-on exposure would be a plus

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area., We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
