Golin is seeking a senior social media lead to join our London team and lead the social strategy for a globally renowned confectionery brand. This is a pivotal role for a strategic and visionary social director with a proven track record of managing high impact social campaigns across a variety of platforms, including both consumer focused and corporate channels like LinkedIn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders to understand their business priorities, providing strategic recommendations that integrate social media to drive overall business success
  • Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive social strategies that address both B2B and B2C audiences, ensuring consistency in messaging, brand tone, and engagement across various platforms and markets
  • Demonstrate expertise across all major social media platforms, with a particular focus on LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging channels beyond Instagram and Snapchat, ensuring content aligns with each platform’s unique opportunities and audience
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and continuous optimisation of social media roadmaps, ensuring all campaigns are aligned with business goals and adjusted to evolving client needs, market trends, and platform developments 
  • Act as a senior leader within the internal team, mentoring and developing the skills of team members, especially around corporate social media best practices, while promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement 
  • Collaborate closely with creative, digital, and strategy teams to produce engaging, high quality social content that maximises platform functionalities and drives measurable results 
  • Champion the implementation of performance driven, best practice processes across the team, enhancing the quality of client deliverables and results 


Ideal Candidate Attributes

  • A strategic and visionary leader with experience directing complex, high-profile social campaigns for global brands
  • Demonstrable experience in managing both corporate (B2B) and consumer (B2C) social media strategies, with expertise in leveraging platforms like LinkedIn for business impact, beyond other channels  
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team in a fast paced environment
  • Strong connections with influencers across relevant sectors and the ability to build and leverage those relationships to support client campaigns 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, prioritising and adapting as necessary to meet client and business needs 
  • Experience working with large, multinational brands and navigating the nuances of social campaigns across different regions, languages, and time zones 
  • An innovative mindset, always on the lookout for new ideas, opportunities, and social media trends to keep client strategies ahead of the curve
