Job Description
The Senior Manager, Scheme GTM Partnerships plays a critical role within our Global Partnerships team, driving business development and revenue growth through strategic collaborations with major payment schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, American Express). This role is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies with these key partners, fostering deep relationships with regional and local scheme representatives, and ultimately driving adoption of Checkout.com solutions across our core commercial pillars.
How you’ll make an impact
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key scheme partners and prioritize opportunities based on Checkout.com's strategic objectives.
Collaborate with scheme partners to develop comprehensive GTM plans encompassing joint marketing initiatives, sales enablement programs, and co-selling activities.
Lead negotiations with scheme partners to establish mutually beneficial commercial terms, ensuring alignment with Checkout.com's revenue goals and risk appetite.
Oversee the day to day management of scheme partners, ensuring smooth sales operations and ongoing relationship management
Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Account Management, Product) to promote Checkout.com solutions within the scheme partner ecosystem and drive adoption among their clients.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheme partnerships, providing regular reports to leadership and identifying areas for optimization.
Serve as a key point of contact for scheme partners, representing Checkout.com at industry events and fostering strong relationships within the payments ecosystem.
What we’re looking for
- 5-10 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or a related field within the payments industry.
Solid understanding of the payments landscape, with specific knowledge of card scheme regulations, products, and partnership models (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of successful negotiation and deal closure.
Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to complex business challenges.
Good analytical skills with the ability to track, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making.
Highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for driving growth.
