Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Risk Manager (ERM). The candidate will be responsible for performing critical risk management activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing effective risk management practices.
This role will report to the Director – COO Risk Management in the Operations Risk Management team
Key Responsibilities:
Oversight and execution of Business Management Activities (BMA), Control Environment Programs (CEP), Business Continuity Management (BCM), Top Risks, Issues, Events, Internal Audit (IA) Actions, and Emerging Risks Assessment.
Conduct Risk Operating Committee meetings for function supported, ensuring effective risk governance and decision-making.
Ensure accountability for logging issues, events, controls, and actions in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system.
Ensure the timely escalation and logging of risk events to ensure timely resolution and mitigation.
Implement and monitor risk management practices across the organization to minimize potential risks.
Evaluate and ensure compliance with London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) policy standards and regulatory requirements.
Assess and manage regulatory risks, ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant regulations.
Document and adhere to procedures for Embedded Risk Management (ERM) tasks, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Provide oversight for risk and control aspects of transformation programs, ensuring risks are identified and managed effectively.
Lead and mentor the risk champions, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management.
Skills Required:
Minimum of 10-12 years of work experience
Solid understanding of risk management concepts and regulatory requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate sophisticated risk concepts to diverse audiences
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven track record to manage and mentor a team effectively
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
